Officer Michael S. Sefton
Officer
Mike Sefton has been a New Braintree police officer since
May 2002. He attended the Waltham Police Academy graduating in June 2002. He was formerly a police officer in Westbrook,
Maine and has an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from the University of
Southern Maine. Officer Sefton is trained in psychology with a specialty
in neuropsychological and forensic psychology. He received his
doctorate from U.S. International University in San Diego, CA in clinical
psychology. He is in practice at the
Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital in Westborough, MA where he is director of
psychology and neuropsychological service. He is the director of the
Concussion Assessment and Management
Program for Sports Medicine. He is on the medical staff of
Clinton Hospital and was appointed to the faculty of the University of
Massachusetts School of Medicine in psychiatry. In February 2005, he
released a book entitled "The Evil that Kids Do"
that is about the underpinnings of
childhood violence. Officer
Sefton is a serious photographer and published a book of photographs shot in New
Braintree in 2005. He is a Massachusetts licensed Emergency Medical Technician and recently passed the
advanced cardiac life support program offered at Whittier Rehabilitation
