NBPD Mission Statement

The New Braintree Police Department regards itself as the primary guardian of the rights, safety and quality of life in the community.

In order to achieve these goals, the following values are held by the organization:

1) That informal means of resolving disputes are preferred, but prosecutions will be aggressively and effectively implemented when called for, to assure community safety and peace.

 2) That Emergency Medical Services will be provided as a high priority, until the patient can be transferred to an ambulance for transport to a hospital.

 3) That police officers should integrate themselves into the community as much as possible through involvement in community programs and personal acquaintance with community members.

 4) That the guarantee of personal rights and privacy is as important to community members as security from crime and disruptive acts. New Braintree Police Officers will always function with the highest regard for the basic human and legal rights of community members and will execute their duties so as to minimize their intrusion upon lawful activities.
