Chief Bert DuVernay

Chief DuVernay has been Chief of Police in New Braintree since January 2002.   He has been active in upgrading the department training procedures and was instrumental in obtaining an anti-terrorism grant providing for both equipment and on-going training.  He is a strong supporter of the community policing philosophy and has worked toward the current 24 hour-per-day call/coverage.  The chief is also a Massachusetts registered EMT and was instrumental in earning the EMS designation for the Police Department.  Chief DuVernay may be reached at chief@newbraintree.net
